In 1931 the Coca-Cola Company in its winter advertising campaign came up with the jolly Santa Claus we all know today: red and white fur suit (the Coca-Cola colors), black snow boots because he came from the North Pole with his sleigh, full of toys and Coca-Cola, pulled by eight (later nine) reindeer. This is the new Saint Nicholas. The original one would probably not know himself except that the spirit of Christmas is still giving, justice and love for all. We are still inspired by the “Christmas Spirit” – the spirit of Saint Nicholas and the spirit of love that is the Christ Child
The eighth figure in The Legend of Saint Nicholas Limited Edition Collector Series depicts Saint Nicholas as the American Santa Claus drinking the milk and eating the cookies hopeful children leave for him on Christmas Eve. Giving, like love, in its purest form expects nothing in return.
